Business Run Sofia is a corporate relay in central Sofia, based around four-person company teams rather than solo racing. The event is run in June, starts in the morning on ul. General Gurko near Vassil Levski National Stadium, and is organized by Begach Running Club. The main relay asks each runner to cover four 1.2 km asphalt laps, so every person runs 4.8 km before handing over to a teammate, and the team completes 16 laps in total.
The day is built for workplaces with mixed fitness levels: runners can enter the relay, walkers can join the four-person Power Walk, executives get a short 1.2 km CEO Dash, and families can use the Kids Run with games, a 200 m race, and medals for every child. The Power Walk teams move together over 4 km, with the slowest teammate’s time counting, which makes it a group effort rather than a solo speed test. The event calls itself Bulgaria’s largest team-building event and draws more than 1,500 people from over 150 companies.
