The Curitiba Winter stage is part of Circuito das Estações, a four-part street running series based on the seasons: Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. The circuit has operated since 2006, now extending to Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico, with 21 Brazilian cities included. Organizers state it is the largest street running circuit globally, having served over 2 million runners in its initial two decades.
The Winter stage represents resilience and discipline, aligning with Curitiba's climate and running community. Participants can enter a single seasonal race or aim to complete all four; those finishing all stages receive the mandala medal, formed by combining the four seasonal medals. The event is open to mass participation, welcoming novice runners, local athletes, and individuals pursuing a year-round fitness objective.
