O wyścigu
The Brunsberglauf takes place on a September day in Buchholz / Holm-Seppensen, with the finish line situated on the Mühlenschule sports field. The primary event is an 11.7 km run over the Brunsberg, crossing forest and heathland. The schedule also features a half marathon and a 5 km family run to the Mühlenteich. Team competitions are available for the 5 km and 11.7 km races, alongside a hill challenge on the Brunsberg and four children's races ranging from 0.3 km to 2.5 km.
The courses incorporate local points of interest such as Höllenschlucht, Brunsberg, Mühlenteich, and the Zwergentunnel, deeply connecting the event to the Holm-Seppensen locale instead of utilizing nondescript roads. Families can enjoy the accompanying program near the finish area, while club athletes, teams, children, and recreational 5 km runners all participate in the same event. Now in its 15th year, the race operates under the slogan "Run and do good." Previous proceeds have reached 130,000 EUR, with 110,000 EUR allocated to the SV Holm-Seppensen sports field, and additional contributions supporting local non-profit organizations and projects in the Buchholz region.
