O wyścigu
SanktPauli 50 sends a small field from Tostedt toward Hamburg’s St. Pauli over 51 km, with only 50 places available. It is a trail-style landscape run rather than a closed-road city race, and runners have 10 hours to finish. The route has about 400 m of climbing, so the distance is the main challenge, but the Harburg Mountains still add real trail work. The race is organized by serious running and is not eligible for ranking points.
The course uses country roads, field tracks, forest paths, and singletrack in the Harburg Mountains before heading into St. Pauli. It is unmarked, so every runner must navigate with a GPX track instead of following arrows or course tape. Everyone gets a live tracker, which fits the self-navigation format and helps crews or friends follow the race. Finishers receive a medal, warm food waits at the finish, and a shirt can be ordered separately. Past results show the event as deliberately intimate, with 25 finishers listed across the recorded results.
