21. Derentaler Löwenlauf

The Derentaler Löwenlauf, a running and walking event in Derental, starts and finishes at the Grillplatz Derental. This year's event is a special version due to construction work, which required organizers to deviate from the usual format. The event commences in the afternoon, with hikers, Nordic walkers, and walkers beginning before the runners. The special format features new routes and multiple distances for various age groups, guiding participants through Derental's nature and along paths offering broad views of the Weserbergland. Official timing is absent, shifting the focus from competitive racing to communal movement in a family-friendly atmosphere. A distinct “Löwenlauf SPEZIAL” stamp designates this unique iteration of the event.
