O wyścigu
The 24h Lauf Halberstadt is a 24-hour track race held within the Friedensstadion in Halberstadt, organized by VfB Germania in conjunction with the Freizeit- und Sportzentrum Halberstadt. The objective is for runners to continuously move on the tartan track for the entire 24 hours, ensuring the lane remains occupied. The event also features a 1-hour run on Friday evening, a 12-hour run commencing early Saturday morning, and a 6-hour run starting midday Saturday.
This eighth edition coincides with VfB Germania’s club festival, meaning the stadium hosts more than just runners. Sections like archery, table tennis, judo, athletics, and gymnastics will demonstrate their activities and offer opportunities for visitors to participate. A peculiar local custom involves a bus pull on the running track. Competitors can use this event to qualify for the Harzer-Lauf-Cup, a series of seven races, and 24-hour participants are also ranked in a night cup for the period between midnight and early morning. Results are updated throughout the event, displayed at the venue, and accessible live online. Trophies will be awarded to winners, and all participants will receive certificates.
