ERZTALER begins in Kurort Hartha, marking a cycling day within the Osterzgebirge region of Saxony. Radteam Tharandter Wald arranges this event for various cyclists, including marathon riders, touring cyclists, off-road enthusiasts, and children. The schedule features both road and off-road paths, offering more than a single race format for one bike type or commitment level.
The available routes range from 20 km to a 230 km marathon distance, with 13 routes detailed. Collectively, these routes span 1,301 km and involve 20,760 m of elevation gain, reflecting the topography of the eastern Ore Mountains.
