Langeooger Sanddornlauf 2026

The Langeooger Sanddornlauf begins and ends at the Haus der Insel on Langeoog, featuring 5 km and 10 km races on paved roads. This autumn race day is for both island residents and visitors. Younger runners have their own starts with a 400 m Bambini run and a 1000 m youth run. The event concludes the island’s running series for the year, giving it the feel of a season finale rather than just another local race. Children from the island school have assisted as course marshals. The awards ceremony takes place in front of the Haus der Insel, where runners gather after the finish for prizes and photos.
