The SachsenEnergie Nachtlauf Leipzig is a night race held at the Alte Messe grounds in Leipzig, offering 3 km, 6 km, or 9 km distances. Participants complete one 3 km loop, repeating it once, twice, or three times. MaximalPULS GmbH organizes the event under the Nachtlauf brand, with SachsenEnergie as the title sponsor. It is designed as a compact evening event, distinct from a large city marathon. The course utilizes the nighttime setting, featuring LED lighting, music, and fire effects along the route and near the finish. The finish area includes a DJ set and live music, contributing to an atmosphere more akin to a running show than a typical road race. All finishers receive a medal and certificate.
