Basauriko Herri Krosa is a road race in Basauri, Basque Country, established in 1978. It attracts nearly a thousand participants across age groups, from youth to veterans, with men and women competing in the same program. The race is organized by former students of San José and Kukurrustu Kirol Kluba, supported by local sponsors, the City Council, and the municipal sports body.
The route begins and ends at the Artunduaga sports centre, crossing various parts of Basauri. Participants include club runners, local athletes, younger competitors, and veterans, giving the event a community-wide feel rather than a specialized championship. Awards are given to the top three in each category, all runners receive a gift, and all entrants are included in a raffle. Approximately 50 volunteers and police personnel assist on race day.
