Marcha del Sofocón 2026

Marcha del Sofocón is a mountain-bike ride in the province of Valladolid, holding the longest run of editions of any cycling event in the province. The main ride is on Sunday, offering three route choices so riders can pick the distance and climbing that fit them: Bronze is 35 kilometers with 500 meters of ascent, Silver is 56 kilometers with 800 meters, and Gold is 79 kilometers with 1,160 meters. The event also added a Saturday time trial near an imposing castle. That extra race can be weather-sensitive, as rain can quickly make the MTB terrain dangerous; on one edition, organizers delayed the start slightly after a shower threat, and the time trial proceeded without major problems.
