Media Maratón Ciudad de Motril

The Media Maratón Ciudad de Motril is a 21.097-kilometer urban half marathon held in Motril, on Spain's Granada coast, each October. It is organized by the Sports Area of Motril City Council. The race begins on Avenida Doctor Norman Bethune and is certified by the Andalusian Athletics Federation, giving the distance official standing for runners aiming for a precise half marathon time. The route remains within the city, featuring refreshment stations and ten mandatory checkpoints. It is part of the Gran Premio de Fondo Diputación de Granada-Universo Lorca. Recent editions have attracted nearly 2,000 athletes, with a separate 10K race also offered. The event has surpassed its fortieth edition and includes a solidarity bib benefiting the AECC. Registration is open until thirty minutes before the start.
