O wyścigu
The Triatlón de Donostia - Memorial Onditz begins with a swim in Playa de La Concha, located in Donostia / San Sebastián's renowned bay. This Olympic-distance triathlon takes place annually in June in Gipuzkoa. The course consists of a 1,500-meter swim, a 38.5-kilometer bike ride, and a 10-kilometer run. Club Atlético San Sebastián is the organizing body, welcoming both federated athletes and non-federated participants in the Open category.
The course crosses some of Donostia’s most distinctive locations, such as the Bay of La Concha and Mount Igeldo. Competitors transition from open water to city streets and a challenging cycling segment before concluding with a run. The Memorial Onditz holds the distinction of being Spain's longest-standing Olympic-distance triathlon. The event weekend also features the Triatlón de la Mujer, a shorter, non-competitive race for women. This event includes a 300-meter swim, a 10-kilometer bike ride, and a 2-kilometer run, emphasizing equality and healthy lifestyles.
