O wyścigu
Black Mountain Trail is a French trail-running series held in Saint-Amand-Soult, within the Montagne Noire of southwest France. Each race begins and ends at the village church, directing runners into the Black Mountain landscape. The series provides four distances, suitable for those seeking a challenging mountain run without the commitment of the longest route, and for runners targeting a full ultra-distance challenge. Over 4,000 participants attend the series, with the Pic de Nore serving as the primary summit objective.
The longest race, Coupo Cambo, covers approximately 63 km with over 3,500 m of elevation gain. Black Race is around the marathon-to-50K distance with roughly 2,300 m of positive elevation and holds a UTMB Index 50K qualification, while Objectif Nore is about 24 km and Mas Naffre is approximately 13 km. These distances illustrate the event's nature: even the shortest option features significant climbing, and the Black Race alone sees over a thousand finishers. The series attracts trail runners from across the region for its steep terrain, mountain trails, and the opportunity to run towards the Pic de Nore from a village start.
