O wyścigu
The Corrida nocturne de Longué is a late-December running event in Longué-Jumelles, in Maine-et-Loire in western France. It is built around short evening races rather than a single long-distance challenge, with 900 m and 1.8 km options for children, a 5 km race, and a 10 km race. The program starts in the afternoon with the kids' races, moves to the 5 km around early evening, and finishes with the 10 km after dark.
The 10 km is a modest trail-style run with 56 meters of climbing, so it is not flat, but it is still a manageable distance for many runners. The 5 km is listed as the most popular race, which makes sense for a local night event where families, casual runners, and club runners can all fit into the same schedule. Longué Run & Trail organizes the event, and recent editions have drawn more than 500 runners, with participation reaching well over 800 in one recorded edition.
