O wyścigu
Déci'Run is a local race day in Décines-Charpieu, just east of Lyon, with routes of 5 km, 12 km, and 28 km. The event runs in spring and is still young, with only a handful of editions behind it. The 5 km is the easiest entry point: it can be run or walked, has no timing, is free for under-16s, and can be done with a racing joëlette for participants with disabilities. Registration is also free for people with disabilities and their companions. The longer options give regular runners more distance without turning the event into an elite-only race, and the whole setup is open to different levels.
The courses use roads and greenways around the commune, mixing town sections with greener stretches. The 12 km route links the city with nature and passes the Grand Large and Groupama Stadium, while the 28 km adds longer passages through Grand Parc Miribel Jonage and by LDLC Arena. Earlier race information also highlights a stadium section where runners enter Groupama Stadium, move through the stands, and reach the edge of the pitch. The city organizes the race with help from local sports associations, and USEP runs separate school races for children rather than open public sign-up.
