The Foulées de la Mue is a November race held in Calvados, Normandy, centered around the communities of Cairon, Rots, Rosel, and Lasson. It features a 6 km and a 12 km race for adults, alongside children’s races of 1.5 km and 3.2 km, making it suitable for families and regular runners alike. La Muse organizes the event, which has a history spanning over thirty editions. Registration is available online via Klikego, with on-site sign-ups permitted only if spots remain. Bibs can be collected the day before at the animation center in Lasson.
The adult course incorporates roads, paths, and countryside routes connecting the local villages. The 12 km course is noted by participants as sufficiently flat for personal-best attempts. Children’s races utilize a short finish loop, providing a similar race-day experience for younger participants. The event also supports two Calvados associations aiding individuals with rare diseases. One participant described it as a “really nice little family race,” highlighting the closed town route, shuttle service, and the year-end atmosphere as a shared family goal. The course records stand at 36:20 for men and 44:18 for women.
