The GEM Nature Run is an October trail race held in Gémenos, located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of southern France. Participants have two adult race choices: an 8 km course, cataloged as a 10K, and a 15 km course, listed as a 20K. Additionally, four children’s races are available, ensuring the event caters to a range of participants, not solely experienced trail runners.
The courses follow natural trails surrounding Gémenos, featuring sufficient elevation changes to provide a genuine trail running experience, distinct from a flat road race. The shorter route is suitable for less experienced runners seeking a manageable entry into off-road racing. The longer course offers more elevation gain and technical terrain for seasoned trail runners. The event's setting utilizes preserved paths, open natural areas, and fosters a communal trail atmosphere characteristic of a focused, nature-oriented race.
