L'Em-Bûche de Noël

L'Em-Bûche de Noël is a Christmas-themed trail event in Nieul, in Haute-Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The races are usually set for mid-December, with the main choices around 10 or 11 km and 20 km, plus Nordic walking, dog-friendly cani-rando or canitrail options, and races for children and juniors. The main trail starts are in front of the Château de Nieul, while the Nordic walking route starts at the town football stadium. The routes use nature and forest trails, and the event is open to both licensed and non-licensed runners; adults can enter the longer trail and cani-rando races, while teenagers can join the shorter trail and Nordic walk. The children’s race is free, and the larger fields are on the short and long trail distances, with the 20 km drawing several hundred runners in a recent edition.
