La Châtenaise

La Châtenaise is a mid-November road race held in Châtenois-les-Forges, located in the Territoire de Belfort region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Participants can choose between 10 km and 5 km distances, with the 5 km beginning at 2:00 PM and the 10 km at 3:00 PM. The local Athlétic Club Châtenois les Forges is the organizer, and the prior event attracted over 200 participants. The route utilizes the coulée verte, a green pathway through the town, concluding within the A.C. Châtenois stadium. The course is characterized as flat and straightforward, yet it holds competitive significance: both the 5 km and 10 km races serve as qualifiers for the French championships, the event holds a regional designation, and it contributes to the Departmental Challenge. Younger participants have dedicated races earlier in the day, including an 820 m run for the youngest categories and a 2,560 m race for Benjamins and Minimes.
