O wyścigu
The La Sancy Arc-en-Ciel, organized by Laurent Brochard, begins and ends in Chambon-sur-Lac, located in the Puy-de-Dôme mountains of Auvergne. This mid-September cycling weekend offers road cyclosportives, gravel rides, and a short food-focused cyclorando. Participants can select between a timed, challenging effort or a more leisurely day on the bike. The road cycling distances are 76.5 km with 1,600 m of elevation gain, 100 km with approximately 1,831 m, and 154 km with 2,950 m. These longer routes traverse hilly, mid-mountain terrain.
The event highlights the Sancy region's local heritage, offering varied formats rather than a single race structure. Gravel cyclists have 30 km and 80 km route options. The 20 km cyclorando gourmande is designed for those interested in the scenery and local cuisine without the demands of significant climbing. It is affiliated with the FFC and part of the Trophée Passion challenge. Complementing the cycling, an exhibitor village and weekend activities are available. Free childcare is provided with registration, facilitating family participation for the entire weekend.
