O wyścigu
Le Trail de Dabo is a mountain and forest trail-running series in Dabo, Moselle, Grand Est, France, typically held in June. Its defining feature is the Rocher de Dabo, a 647 m sandstone rock overlooking the village, offering a panoramic view of the Moselle Vosges. Participants can select from 10.5 km, 19 km, or 33 km routes, with an additional 10.5 km Nordic walk option. The specific races are Trail du Renard (short trail), Trail de la Zorn (middle distance), and Trail des Roches (long race). The latter covers 1,470 m of elevation gain, while the 19 km route has 880 m of elevation gain.
The courses traverse spruce, beech, and hornbeam forests, with Vosges pink sandstone visible on the hillsides. The longer routes connect natural and historic locations in the Dabo region, such as Rocher des Corbeaux, Geisterfelsen, Heidenschlossfels, Jaegerhof, Herrenfels, Grand Rosskopf, Backofenfels, and the ascent to the Rocher de Dabo. Urstein, at 946 m, is the highest elevation on the course. The event caters to trail runners and walkers seeking genuine off-road conditions, utilizing the area's forests, rock formations, mountain paths, and historical sites.
