O wyścigu
The Triathlon de Berre l'Etang is a short-format triathlon held in Berre-l'Etang, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence, typically in late September. Participants swim 750 meters in the Etang de Berre, cycle a 20-kilometer flat loop, and complete the race with two 2.5-kilometer running laps along the littoral promenade. VO3MAX Provence Triathlon organizes the event, which accommodates a wide range of participants with individual and relay categories, as well as races for children and juniors.
The course remains near the water: the swim route parallels the promenade, the run utilizes the same flat waterfront path, and the bike leg covers town roads and low-elevation routes surrounding Berre-l'Etang. The event includes a unique cultural element where photographers capture athletes' moments via mobile phone as part of the Olympiades culturelles program. This setting offers a distinct atmosphere compared to city-loop races, and many attendees extend their day by strolling along the Etang de Berre or visiting Port Albert Samson post-race.
