O wyścigu
The Beddington Park 10K starts and finishes opposite the Pavilion Cafe in Beddington Park, Sutton, near Wallington in Surrey. It is a Sunday morning 10K on an accurately measured route, consisting of four full laps and an additional 40 metres. The course is almost entirely on pathway, with a short field section, making it suitable for runners aiming for a personal best or those who prefer a clear, contained park route.
The park covers 58 hectares and was formerly a deer park for the Carew family in the 14th century. The route follows mostly smooth paths, passing formal gardens, woodland along the River Wandle, a restored lake, wildlife ponds, the Grade I Tudor Great Hall, and an octagonal dovecote. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with trophies awarded to the first three runners. The race facilities include toilets, changing areas, baggage storage, first aid, water stations on the course, and nearby rail access at Hackbridge and Wallington, along with parking.
