Celtic Trail Races 2026

The Celtic Trail Races are winter trail races in South Wales, offering three distances: a 50K ultra, a full marathon, and a linear half marathon. All three races conclude at Dare Valley Country Park. The routes are fully marked, with GPS files and an interactive map provided for runners seeking additional navigation support. The courses traverse Afan Forest and the Rhigos mountain range before connecting to the high trails of the Coed Morgannwg Way. Runners will encounter steep ascents, extended descents, river crossings, broad forest paths, and narrower single tracks. The routes pass by reservoirs, old woodlands, wind turbines, and offer vistas towards the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountain, the South Wales Valleys, and the coast.
