Canterbury Winter Trail Run at Mount Cass Station

Mount Cass Station provides this winter trail run with a true hill-country character, situated above the Waipara district. On clear days, Mount Grey, Pegasus Bay, and Banks Peninsula are visible. The Canterbury Winter Trail Run at Mount Cass Station is the second event in a four-race winter series, with each race held in a different off-road location. This course demands effort for its scenery: expect sustained climbs, technical descents, and "constantly changing terrain" that prevents establishing a steady pace. The footing and gradient will challenge you, but the reward is "epic views across the Waipara district" from the higher points. Participants completing the full series are also eligible for series awards across various age groups and distances.
