2026 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth

The 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth begins and ends at the Fort Worth Stockyards, offering a 5K and a one-mile route for runners and walkers. LifeGift, in partnership with Donate Life Texas, organizes the event to honor organ, eye, and tissue donors and to increase awareness for donation throughout North, Southeast, and West Texas. The event's name directly reflects its purpose: over 10,000 Texans are currently awaiting a transplant to receive a second chance at life. The event is designed for more than just the race itself, bringing together participants, volunteers, and spectators in the Donate Life Texas Race Village. This area features a donor remembrance tent, a children's area, a photo booth, games, food and drinks, and free items. Participants who register for the in-person event will receive a race bib, timing chip, a custom event t-shirt, a custom 2nd Chance Run medal, and a swag bag. A virtual option is also available, allowing individuals to run or walk from any location.
