The 7th President 7K is a 7-kilometer cross-country run held on the grounds of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, the National Historic Landmark outside Nashville where the seventh president resided. The race begins in the morning and is a low-key event, not chip-timed, using a rolling clock at the finish. A 2-mile walking course is available for those who wish to experience the Hermitage setting without completing the full 7K.
The route incorporates paved paths, open fields, grass, a brief trail section, and paved road within the property. Participants will pass Tulip Grove Mansion, formerly the home of Rachel Jackson’s nephew, and Hermitage Church, constructed for the local community, before concluding at the Hermitage Mansion. The race title reflects Jackson’s presidential history, and this marks its fifth year.
