Bruce Barnes Mile

Virginia's fastest & most scenic one mile road race. It's all downhill, with its steepest descent over the last quarter mile. The race finishes within view of Lady Astor's famous mansion, Mirador. Afterward, runners get panoramic mountain views on their cool down back to the Greenwood Community Center. Directed by friends of Barnes since 1992, this year's Bruce Barnes Mile brings chip timing with all runners starting together.
