The Delta Dental New England Half Marathon is a point-to-point, downhill road half marathon in New Hampshire, held in mid-October. It begins at Gould Hill Farm in Contoocook, an apple orchard area near Hopkinton, and concludes 13.1 miles later at the New Hampshire State House in Concord. The race starts at 8:00 AM and allows runners 3.5 hours to finish, suitable for steady recreational runners and those aiming for a faster half on a net-downhill route.
The course departs the farm start on country roads before entering Concord for a downtown state-house finish. Start logistics are important: there is no parking at Gould Hill Farm, so runners must use drop-off plans or follow other race transport instructions. The first 1,200 registrants receive a performance fleece, and runners completing enough Millennium Running events to total 26.2 miles can earn the Elliot Millennium Running Series Jacket. The event also connects to the organizer’s Points Chase, offering regulars in the Signature events a competitive element beyond a single race day.
