O wyścigu
The Dyslexia Dash is a family-friendly 5K run/walk in the Atlanta area. The in-person race starts near the Von Maur parking lot at Perimeter Mall. It is typically held in October and also offers a virtual 5K option for those who prefer to run their own route and submit a time. The main 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier, and a separate 1-mile fun run is available for children age ten and under.
The event attracts runners, walkers, families, school groups, and teams, with a focus on supporting individuals with dyslexia and other language-learning differences. Following the races, participants receive a shirt and can attend a festival featuring a kids' play area, DJ, sponsor tents, photo opportunities, awards, a teacher appreciation raffle, and a Dyslexia Talent & Creativity Showcase. The event benefits the International Dyslexia Association Georgia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to public awareness, teacher training, parent support, student empowerment, and improved reading and writing instruction for students facing learning challenges.
