O wyścigu
The Frankfort Frosty 5K is a Christmas-season 5K run/walk held at Lakeview Park in Frankfort, Kentucky. The race begins near the Farm Bureau Pavilion. The primary race follows a paved trail. On race day, a free kids’ Little Frosty Dash and a shorter Fred & Me 143 event are also offered. This event is a local holiday race, not just a timed event, featuring long-sleeve race shirts, custom age-group awards, and divisions in five-year increments.
The route includes carolers, choral groups, and musicians. Many participants wear holiday costumes. Santa and Frosty appear at the event. The finish area provides hot chocolate, snacks, raffles, a small silent auction, past race shirts for sale, and sometimes vaccinations from the county health department. The event supports medical and dental mission work in Honduras, Mission Frankfort Clinic, St. Vincent De Paul, Greenhouses of Love, Water By Women, and related local and mission projects. Clothing and shoe donations are collected for Honduras.
