Houston Turkey Dash

The Houston Turkey Dash is a Thanksgiving morning race held at On the Run Clear Lake on Bay Area Boulevard in Houston. The event begins early with a Kids 1K, followed by a 10K run and a 5K run/walk. It is designed for families and competitive runners alike, offering short, walkable, and longer race distances from a single start-finish location. The course winds through Clear Lake neighborhoods on a flat, fast route, suitable for competitive runners while remaining accessible to casual participants. Dogs are welcome to join runners, though retractable leashes are prohibited. The race also gathers non-perishable food, toiletries, feminine hygiene items, and toilet paper during packet pickup and on race day, adding a practical, local dimension to the Thanksgiving theme.
