The Mid-Atlantic's most challenging hill climb time trial, a pro tour caliber climb featured in the 1990s Tour Dupont, serves as the Virginia State Championship Hill Climb. Top 5 male and female riders compete for a $750/5 cash prize. Riders drop bikes at Blue Toad Hard Cider, where organizers provide racks to securely mark your equipment, then shuttle to the start. Post-race, head to Wintergreen Resort's Lookout Deck for views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a free beverage with your bib ticket. The course starts on Rte 664, proceeds 3.2 miles on the shoulder, then turns onto Wintergreen Drive, finishing near the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
