Jungle Gardens 7K Trail, 5K Run & 1 Mile 2026

The Jungle Gardens 7K Trail, 5K Run & 1 Mile takes place on a November morning on Avery Island, Louisiana, utilizing Hwy. 329. Participants can select a 1-mile fun run/walk, a 5K, or a 7K trail run. The mile race begins first, with the longer races commencing shortly thereafter. A virtual option is available for both the 5K and 7K, allowing participation for those who wish to support the event without physically attending on Avery Island. The in-person course follows hard-packed roads through Jungle Gardens, presenting a garden-road running experience rather than technical singletrack. The race benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with Louisiana families undergoing treatment being part of the cause. All finishers across the three distances will receive medals. Those running the 5K and 7K can secure event shirts if registered by the cutoff date. Post-race, attendees can enjoy jambalaya from The Lost Boys, tour the McIlhenny Factory to observe Tabasco production, and browse the island's gift shops.
