Keene Family YMCA Fall Foliage Trail Races

The Keene Family YMCA Fall Foliage Trail Races begin and end at the Y on Summit Road in Keene, New Hampshire, when the fall colors are at their peak. Participants can select either a 5k or a 10k, making the event suitable for individuals new to trail racing and for runners seeking a longer, more challenging morning on local paths. Both courses feature a combination of wide crushed-gravel paths and winding singletrack. The 5k is quick, diverse, and accessible, offering enough trail character to introduce beginners to off-road running while allowing experienced runners to aim for a fast finish. The 10k presents greater difficulty, with smooth singletrack and significant elevation gain. Proceeds from the race benefit the YMCA’s charitable initiatives, ensuring its programs and services remain available to the local community. Volunteers are welcome to assist as course marshals, provided they can reach their assigned posts.
