Mustang Marathon (Hill Country Trivium) Road Race

The Mustang Marathon is a road race series held at Mustang Stadium, located at Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, Texas, within the Hill Country northwest of Austin. The event features a range of distances: 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, 50K, and a youth mile. This variety accommodates local families, shorter-distance runners, marathoners, and ultrarunners on the same race day. Previously known as the Hill Country Trivium, it is the sole road race organized by Perspective Pacing. The course is paved and follows an out-and-back route on country roads, with rolling hills and challenging climbs rather than a flat city loop. All distances begin and conclude at Mustang Stadium, simplifying the race hub despite the varying runner distances. Awards are determined by gun time, though chip times are also provided, offering a competitive element for runners at the start. A local tradition concludes the race: participants receive a coupon for a complimentary slice of pie from Marble Falls’ Bluebonnet Cafe.
