The Ozark Trail 100 Mile Endurance Run is a 101-mile point-to-point ultramarathon through Mark Twain National Forest in south central Missouri. It begins near Steelville and directs runners onto the Ozark Trail for almost the entire race, with only the initial miles and the final mile deviating from that path. The event has taken place since 2009 and is intentionally small, with a participant cap of 150. A 100-mile relay now runs concurrently with the solo ultra.
The course is predominantly single-track and 95% unpaved, classifying it as a true trail hundred rather than a road race with dirt segments. Runners encounter multiple water crossings, approximately 12,000 feet of elevation gain, and terrain that varies from packed dirt to moderately technical trail. In certain years, fallen leaves obscure the path, increasing the challenge of navigating the trail. Hammer Nutrition has supported the race since its inception, and the fastest solo records are under 18 hours for men and under 20 hours for women.
