Pioneer 5 Miles Run

The Pioneer 5 Miles Run is a five-mile race held at David Crockett Birthplace State Park in Tennessee. The State of Franklin Track Club organizes this event, which is included in the Tennessee Running Tour and SFTC’s King & Queen Competition series. This makes it significant for runners tracking those club and regional standings. The park will be open during the race, but access will be restricted, altering the finish-area routine. There will be no age-group awards ceremony. All participants receive a medal at the finish line, and the top male and female finishers are awarded trophies there. The registration fee is kept low, with an optional sweatshirt available. SFTC members receive a small discount, and refunds are not offered. The event also gathers donations for Friends of the Park to support restoration efforts.
