The Regal Beagle Ultra begins and ends at the Regal Beagle lodge in Bath, Ohio, located within the Bath Nature Preserve. Runners will complete approximately five-mile loops across rolling hills, featuring mixed terrain and around 400 feet of elevation gain per loop. The course setup is straightforward: a single, well-stocked aid station is situated at the Regal Beagle, with an additional water stop at Bath Community Park.
The lodge provides the race with distinct character compared to a typical park loop course. It was previously owned by the Raymond Firestone family and functioned as a meeting point during equestrian events. Adjacent to the lodge, a wood-fired brick oven, constructed before 1940, remains as a testament to its historical country-estate origins. Packet pickup will take place at the lodge, and refreshments after the race will be available at the University of Akron field station.
