Run For Your Life is a family-friendly zombie 5K in Eugene, Oregon. It takes place in October at Alton Baker Park on Day Island Road. This is a charity race for ShelterCare, a Lane County nonprofit assisting families and individuals facing homelessness. The event has a fundraising goal of $10,000 for this cause.
The course is contained within Alton Baker Park. Spooky zombies are hidden around the racetrack to encourage runners to move faster. The day includes face-painting and food carts to enhance the Halloween atmosphere. All event proceeds benefit ShelterCare, an organization that assisted 1,532 people in the community in one reported year.
