Santa Run 1 mile and 5k

The Duluth Wild Santa Run fills the Lincoln Park craft district with people running and walking in Santa suits each December. The main event is a 5K fun run starting at Wild State Cider in Duluth, Minnesota. Registration provides a five-piece Santa suit, a bib, and a post-race cider. Billing itself as the Midwest's largest Santa gathering, the field resembles a moving holiday crowd more than a typical road race. A Reindeer Run for children 8 and under, including antlers and apple juice or a small ice cream, is also offered. The 5K begins and ends at Wild State Cider, with West Superior Street closed near the start and finish. The course goes through Lincoln Park and by Bent Paddle Brewing, where runners can get a Christmas Cookie Cream Ale. Walkers are welcome, there is no strict time limit, and groups of 10 or more receive a discount. The post-race gathering continues at the Wild State Cider taproom with holiday music, and a portion of the proceeds benefits Northland Adaptive Recreation.
