Mt Coot-Tha Trail Festival 2026

The Mt Coot-Tha Trail Festival is a late-August trail running weekend held at Legacy Way Car Park on Mount Coot-tha in Brisbane, Queensland. All races are off-road, offering 15k, half marathon, and marathon distances, alongside named events such as Billy the Kid, Golden Hoof, Surefoot, and the Mt Coot-Tha Marathon. The routes traverse Mount Coot-tha's established bush trails, distinct from city streets, providing a genuine trail running atmosphere close to Brisbane. Organised by Run Vault, the festival evolved from the Mountain Goat Trail Series, consolidating multiple races onto the same trails and finish line into a single weekend event. The expected participant count is modest, ranging from 100 to 500 runners, accommodating all levels from elite athletes to novice participants.
