Sobre esta prova
Run the Great Whitsunday Trail sends runners through North Queensland rainforest on the Conway Circuit in Conway National Park. The series offers a 57.4 km ultra and a 28.7 km shorter race, and both distances finish at the Airlie Beach Lagoon.
This is a trail-running event, not a walking event, with steep climbs, steep descents, and changing track surfaces. The organisers tell newcomers to allow about 50% more time than their best flat road effort over a comparable distance, and they recommend training on varied tracks and trails before race day.
