BR Walk/Run 2026

BR Walk/Run is a community walk and run held in Rockland Park, northwest Calgary, starting at 90 Rowley Way NW. This is Brookfield Residential's fifth event. Check-in and warm-up occur in the morning, followed by staggered starts for the 10km run, 5km walk/run, and 1km fun run. The event is designed to be family-friendly, with low-cost entry for children, adults, and seniors in the 5km and 10km races. Teams of up to 10 people can register together. The race offers three distances: a 1km fun run, a 5km walk or run, and a 10km route for those seeking a longer challenge. It partners with the Calgary Food Bank to raise funds and collect food donations, while also raising awareness about local hunger. The current fundraising total is just under CA$36,000, aiming for a CA$150,000 goal, with 199 participants registered. Following the races, attendees can enjoy treats and entertainment.
