Sobre esta prova
The Nordhorner Triathlon is a sprint-distance race held at the Vechtesee in Nordhorn, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is designed as a local, accessible triathlon, not a long-distance event. Participants swim 500 metres, cycle 20 kilometres, and run just over 6 kilometres. The event features an individual triathlon and a relay option, with both individual and relay participants categorized by age group or as general entrants. Entry is limited to approximately 150 individual sprint places and 49 relay places, and the race often fills before online registration closes.
The swim takes place in the lake, while the bike and run segments utilize roads around the Vechtesee area. Street closures will be in effect for Heseper Weg, Seeuferstrasse, Oorder Weg, Immenweg, Am Sudufer, and Dorfkrugstrasse during the event. The relay format allows teammates to divide the three disciplines, and the race also includes inclusion relays, a notable feature. Competitors in the popular and relay races must be born in 2010 or later. Training sessions are offered on Monday evenings, meeting at the boat club, highlighting the event's community-training aspect alongside the competition.
