Sobre esta prova
The Boucle des Maristes is a timed loop race held within the Sainte-Marie Lyon school grounds in La Verpillière, Isère. Participants run a short loop of approximately 3 to 3.1 km, with about 33 to 40 metres of elevation gain per lap, completing as many laps as possible within the set time limit. This format is inspired by Backyard and last-man-standing races, but offers fixed durations of 1h30, 3h, and 6h, differing from open-ended overnight events.
The course is contained within the La Verpillière site, utilizing school paths, buildings, fields, and stairs rather than a typical road circuit. Runners can compete individually, in pairs, or in trios, and a children's race is also available. The event is organized by AS Sainte Marie Lyon de la Verpillière, with support from the parents' association, and registration is limited to 300 participants. Initial participation was around 130 runners. The on-site facilities include aid stations, showers, changing rooms, and a post-race meal at Chemin du Couvent, which serves as the start and finish location.
