Sobre esta prova
Course du Moun is a city-center running event in Mont-de-Marsan, held each July during the Fêtes de la Madeleine. The primary event is a timed 10 km race. A 4 km option is available for more runners, alongside a Joëlettes solidarity event and the Mini Moun for children aged 7 to 13. The Joëlettes depart first, followed shortly by the 10 km and 4 km races starting together. The children's race takes place later in the morning.
The course is entirely within the city: it begins on Avenue de Nonères, passes through the center of Mont-de-Marsan, and concludes in Parc Jean Rameau beneath trees that are centuries old. The race marks the sporting start of the Madeleine festivities, attracting more participants than a typical club race. Recent entries numbered around 2,000, a significant increase from the initial 330 runners. Its combination of timed races, shorter participation runs, adapted chairs, and a children's race positions it as a local festival opener as much as a road race.
