La Castel Race 2026

La Castel Race is a mid-July trail-running event in Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France. It is part of the Challenge Trail Anjou Logémaine; the short trail counts toward the Challenge Court Logémaine and the long trail counts toward the Challenge Long Logémaine. Runners enter once, start together, and decide at the 6 km mark whether to finish the shorter route or continue on the longer one. The main trail options are 10 km with approximately 75 m of elevation gain and 23 km with approximately 150 m of elevation gain, utilizing the paths around Hauts d'Anjou. The day also features a 10 km walk, mountain-bike rides of 23 km and 33 km, and children's races for ages 4 to 16, attracting runners, walkers, cyclists, families, and series regulars. The event, now in its sixth edition, uses ESPACE-COMPETITION for timing, with live GPS tracking and an app fan zone for followers.
