Semi-marathon des Jalles 2026

The Semi-marathon des Jalles begins near the Galinier sports complex in Bruges, leading runners into Parc des Jalles, a 6,000-hectare natural and farming park bordering Bordeaux. This Sunday morning event features a 21.1 km half marathon, alongside a 10 km Virée des Jalles, a children’s race, and family walks. The main races start together from Salle Majau at 9:00, with the half marathon concluding within Stade Galinier. Approximately 1,500 participants are anticipated, and the half marathon and 10 km races may reach capacity, with bibs exchanged via Protiming. The half marathon course crosses Bruges, Eysines, Blanquefort, and Bordeaux, winding through town streets, allotment gardens, market-garden land, dikes, and nature reserve trails. Participants will also pass Parc Ausone, the Tasta canals, see the Château du Prince Noir in Eysines, and the Bordeaux lake area near its nautical base. The 10 km Virée des Jalles uses the same start and finish arch as the half marathon, suitable for beginners, families, and runners using it for longer race preparation. The walking routes are coordinated by Association Bruges Rando Pédestre, with SIJALAG guides providing information on the Jalles waterways, Garonne dikes, flood defenses, water quality, and local aquatic heritage.
